Randy Orton is revealing a unique offer he got from Jelly Roll while helping the country-rap star get ready for his WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam.
On The Maggie and Perloff Show, Orton said that after giving Jelly Roll advice and guidance ahead of the big match — which saw the musician team with Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre on Night One of SummerSlam — Jelly Roll suggested they collaborate on a song together.
“He actually mentioned yesterday that for all the help that I’ve given him and advice that he wanted to — I think the way he put it was, ‘Write a song with me,’ and I don’t really know if he knows what he’s getting into. I’m tone deaf. I don’t know if I could write a song.”
While Orton joked about his lack of musical talent, he did say he’d be open to Jelly Roll putting his own spin on his iconic WWE entrance music.
“I’ll put this out there: Maybe he could do my entrance music. Maybe they could do my entrance theme, ‘Voices,’ and Rev Theory who sings the song did an amazing job. But if Jelly Roll wanted to cover that song, I wouldn’t be opposed to that. I don’t know if you’re gonna hear any vocals from me though on it.”
Triple H even revealed during the SummerSlam post-show that Jelly Roll has already expressed interest in doing more with WWE, making this potential music-meets-wrestling crossover even more likely.
