Randy Orton might be eyeing Gotham City.
The 14-time world champion ignited speculation after replying to a tweet from @ScreenTime that asked, “Who do you think should play Batman in James Gunn’s DCU?” Orton kept it short, dropping a single waving hand emoji—just enough to get attention without saying a word.
That one gesture was all it took to push his name into the Batman casting conversation. While Orton hasn’t confirmed anything directly, the implication is clear: he’s not opposed to throwing his hat in the ring.
If he lands the role, Orton would be following in the footsteps of several major WWE names who’ve made the jump to blockbuster roles. John Cena became a standout as Peacemaker in DC’s growing universe. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took on Black Adam. Dave Bautista solidified his Hollywood run as Drax in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy series.
Orton has yet to land a major movie role on that scale, but this emoji might be the first quiet step toward a bigger spotlight. Whether it was a serious tease or just Orton playing around, it opened the door to speculation.
