Randy Orton knows the clock is ticking — and he’s not pretending otherwise.
Ahead of his record-setting tenth appearance inside the Elimination Chamber at Elimination Chamber on February 28, Orton opened up about the physical toll the brutal structure has taken on his body — and how much longer he realistically sees himself competing.
Speaking on Get Up, Orton reflected on what stepping inside the steel means after nearly two decades of wear and tear.
“Ten Elimination Chambers is a lot of Elimination Chambers.”
He didn’t sugarcoat what that match does to a body.
“My body’s been beaten up all over that ring and that Chamber man, it is unforgiving. But I take a lot of experience with myself into that Chamber, and I’m gonna use it this Saturday, and I’m gonna win the thing and go to WrestleMania, man.”
Then came the line that immediately caught fans’ attention.
“I’ve only got so many years I’m gonna be able to do this, and I’m enjoying every second of it, so at the Chamber I’m gonna make it count.”
That admission adds real stakes to Saturday’s match. Orton already holds the record for most Elimination Chamber appearances, surpassing both Chris Jericho and John Cena. Now, he’s chasing another milestone — earning a world title opportunity at WrestleMania 42.
The winner of Saturday’s Chamber match will move on to challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship next month. Also competing inside the structure are LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and the winner of Raw’s final qualifier.
Orton last competed inside the Chamber in February 2024, but this tenth entry feels different. He’s not just talking about winning — he’s talking about legacy, mileage, and whatever time he has left. For a performer who has already built a Hall of Fame résumé, the idea that the runway may be shorter than ever adds urgency to every step.
