Rampage Jackson isn’t defending his son Raja after the 25-year-old was arrested on felony charges stemming from a violent incident at a wrestling event in Los Angeles. I
In an update delivered via Kick livestream just hours after Raja bonded out of jail, the UFC legend admitted his son “f***ed up” and has to take responsibility.
Raja Jackson was arrested early Thursday morning in Huntington Beach after shocking footage showed him slamming wrestler Syko Stu (real name Stuart Smith) to the mat and unloading nearly two dozen punches—while Smith appeared unconscious. It reportedly took over 10 seconds before anyone stepped in to stop the assault at the Knokx Pro Wrestling event.
Raja was booked on a felony charge of battery with serious bodily injury. He was held on $50,000 bond and bonded out later that same day.
Rampage gave his first reaction shortly after the arrest, telling his viewers that while his son is back home, the reality of the situation has set in.
“I’m doing OK, I’m holding up well,” he said during the stream. “He fed up, he fed up. He gotta learn his lesson.”
Rampage made it clear he’s not sugarcoating anything—and that this isn’t about parenting failure on his part.
“It is what it is, all I can do is be a dad. He don’t listen to me. At the end of the day, he can’t say I didn’t do what I was supposed to do as a dad.”
Meanwhile, Smith reportedly suffered a fractured maxilla bone and was hospitalized for several days before being released to recover at home.
Rampage also acknowledged during his stream that his son needed the reality check. He needed to serve some time.
Now that Raja is out, what comes next remains to be seen—but with video footage, serious injuries, and Rampage himself publicly stating that his son must face consequences, the legal heat isn’t likely to cool off anytime soon.
