R-Truth is opening up about the raw emotions he felt when he believed his WWE run had come to an end — and says the tears wouldn’t stop.
After chants of “We want Truth” echoed across WWE Raw, NXT, and SmackDown the week after his departure, he made a surprise return less than a week later at Money in the Bank. But before that comeback, the news of his release left him devastated.
Speaking on Ringer Wrestling, Truth admitted that moment was the lowest point of his career.
“It was my lowest. I was crying. I cried. I cried for the love.”
Those tears only intensified when he saw the flood of support from fans and wrestlers around the world.
“Unity. We’re talking about the world. Different countries. I got DMs, emails, tweets from different people. All different races, nationalities, walks of life. I cried just for the sake of humanity. Over me? We all agreed on one thing. ‘This is wrong.’ That was the most powerful thing I ever had in my life happen to me.”
Truth said the experience reminded him just how deeply fans connect with him, describing it as “the most moving thing God has ever shown and given me.”
