R-Truth just dropped a hidden gem in a new interview—and it involves none other than John Cena.
The longtime WWE fan favorite told Bleacher Report that he recorded a song with Cena years ago at his own home studio, and the track has been collecting dust ever since. According to Truth, the rap collab was the real deal.
“But me and Cena did a song like years ago, he came to my house, and we recorded it in my studio upstairs. It will never see the light of day, but there is a song with me and Cena on it.”
When pressed on why the track has never been released, Truth gave a mysterious answer that sounds straight out of a magician’s playbook.
“I think it’s just like not knowing what’s in David Copperfield’s hat. It’s something that we just got,” he explained. “You never say never, but it’s something that we got that we did years ago. It was dope, bruh! Both verses, it was fire. It was called ‘The Jumpoff.’ It was dope, dog!”
John Cena hasn’t released new music since the WWE 2K15 soundtrack with Wiz Khalifa, so for fans of his early rap persona, this track could be a long-lost banger. Whether they’ll ever get to hear it remains the real question.
Truth may be sitting on rap gold with this one, but until that studio file sees the light of day, The Jumpoff remains locked away in WWE hip-hop folklore.
