R-Truth knows how to entertain, but even he didn’t see his WWE “release” turning into a global outpouring of love.
The longtime fan-favorite appeared on No Holds Barred with Rob Wong and Jan Murphy, reflecting on the week that had fans convinced he was gone from WWE—only to shock them all by walking out at Money in the Bank with a brand-new contract.
What some thought was a real-life release quickly turned into one of WWE’s most emotionally charged moments of 2025. But for R-Truth, the most unforgettable part wasn’t the return—it was the reaction.
“The outreach, dog—that was the outreach, the love. Um… I don’t know if it was meant—I think it was meant for me and it was meant for everybody, man. To show like… it was through all social media, talking about over 100 million reactions of emotions and of unifying on one thing.”
He said the reaction reminded him how powerful the wrestling community can be when it rallies together.
“So if anything, it shows that we all can come together on something. Like, regardless of what, how, when, where—boom—we all came together on something. So that was, um… showing the good in humanity, man. That was great.”
Whether fans thought his departure was real or just part of the script, one thing was clear—R-Truth’s presence meant something. In an era where reality and storyline often blur, this moment felt real because the reaction was real.
