R-Truth and Damian Priest finally have an official tag team name, and it didn’t come from an in-ring promo or backstage segment. Instead, WWE quietly rolled it out through brand-new merchandise.

The current WWE Tag Team Champions picked up the titles earlier in March after defeating Tama Tonga and JC Mateo, and now it looks like WWE is starting to lock in their identity as a team. Recent merchandise released on WWE Shop shows the duo being referred to as “Wepa Up,” confirming the name tied to their partnership.

“Wepa Up” blends two catchphrases that fans already associate with both stars. Priest is known for shouting “Wepa,” while Truth’s long-running “What’s Up?” chant remains one of the most recognizable catchphrases in WWE. Putting the two together creates a natural fit.

Despite holding the WWE Tag Team Titles, R-Truth and Damian Priest currently don’t have a match scheduled for WrestleMania 42. That has raised some questions among fans, especially since championship matches are usually a major part of the card.
