The May 23 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the EnMarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. Saturday Night’s Main event is going down tomorrow, and R-Truth is in the biggest match of his career.

John Cena’s attack on R-Truth after Backlash didn’t go unnoticed. It led to an Undisputed World Title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24 in Tampa. R-Truth was on hand this week during SmackDown to speak his piece.

Saturday Night’s Main Event will see John Cena and R-Truth face each other for the first time since 2011. Naturally, Ron Killings is more than ready for this match, and he had a chance to speak during the blue brand’s show this week. Truth came out at the close of the show’s second hour for his promo.

R-Truth got the crowd hyped, and then he addressed his match against John Cena. He mentioned everyone who asked him how he will handle this match. He answered by explaining that the main he will be facing tomorrow night is not the John Cena he knows. Truth said that the problem is power, because the more power and fame Cena got, the more disconnected he felt.

It was said that John Cena isolated himself with power. He compared Cena to Gollum from Lord of the Rings, saying Cena stares at his championship and calls it his precious. R-Truth said that he doesn’t know if he can bring John Cena back, but he’s going to try.

Although R-Truth misses his hero, he will still fight him tomorrow night. He concluded his promo by saying, “if Cena wins, we riot.”

R-Truth has called John Cena his childhood hero for some time now. While it started as a piece of humor at the time, that running joke seems to have erupted in a high profile match during John Cena’s farewell tour.
