TNA Wrestling is heading to AMC in 2026—but don’t expect Thursday Night Impact to go fully live just yet.
After last week’s big announcement that TNA is moving to AMC starting January 15, speculation exploded online about whether this would finally mean weekly live shows. Now, TNA producer Lance Storm is setting expectations straight.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Storm made it clear the company won’t be going live every week right away—and whether that changes will depend heavily on the numbers.
“I didn’t get anything pinned down other than it won’t be every week. I suspect long-term it’ll greatly depend on if the taped shows do as well as the live shows.”
Storm added that the company will be watching fan reactions closely and emphasized the strategy behind mixing live and taped formats.
“If they do, then there won’t be a panic to go live every week. But if the live shows do a lot better, then I would imagine that would be the direction they wanna go.”
“You need to go live enough that the fans get the impression that it’s a live show. And then once they have that feeling that they’re live shows, you can actually have quite a few of them taped and nobody even notices.”
TNA’s return to prominence on AMC is already turning heads, but it looks like they’re taking a calculated approach when it comes to live production.
