John Cena’s retirement tour is slowly coming to an end and with just a few dates left, it seems we now have a good idea of when John Cena’s final match will actually take place.

According to WrestleVotes, NBC is aiming for December 13 as the date for Cena’s retirement match. While December 27 was briefly considered to go head-to-head with AEW’s Worlds End, that plan won’t be moving forward because the network has an NFL commitment and does not want to compete with its own programming.

This comes after we had previously reported that WWE still had not finalized John Cena’s retirement tour, but it’s clear fans shouldn’t expect Cena’s retirement match to go head-to-head with AEW Worlds End.

Therefore, fans can expect to see John Cena’s final match taking place at Saturday Night’s Main Event, with Boston at the TD Garden. After all, even Cena has made it clear he isn’t picking his final opponent and leaving it to WWE to make the decision.
