TNA Bound for Glory 2025 is shaping up to be one of the biggest shows in the company’s recent history, but it looks like the result of one major match might’ve just slipped.

According to a new update, the outcome of the TNA World Championship clash between Trick Williams and Mike Santana might not be as unpredictable as fans were led to believe. Fightful Select reports just hours before the event that’s causing a lot of chatter behind the scenes. While the match between Trick Williams and Mike Santana has been pushed as a toss-up, backstage sources apparently aren’t seeing it that way. One anonymous talent didn’t hold back when discussing what’s expected to go down.

“One talent said that while they expect Mike Santana to win tonight, if for some reason he doesn’t, they have ‘major issues’ with the NXT partnership.”

This is a strong indication that Santana could be walking out of Lowell, Massachusetts with the TNA World Championship around his waist. It also gives weight to the idea that Trick Williams’ time as champion—and maybe even his time in TNA—is about to end.

TNA’s relationship with NXT has been a major talking point leading into Bound for Glory, especially with Trick Williams representing the developmental brand while holding the TNA World Title. With many in the locker room hoping to keep the championship in-house, a title change tonight would be seen as a move to restore TNA’s control over its top prize.
