WWE may be cooking up one of its classic comedy moments tonight—and it sounds like R-Truth is at the center of it once again.

According to Fightful Select, there’s a “potential spoiler” going around backstage at the October 31 edition of SmackDown: “we’re told R-Truth is dressing like Santa Claus tonight.”

No further details were given, but given the date—and the performer—it doesn’t take much to imagine what’s coming. With Halloween falling on the same night as SmackDown, R-Truth showing up in full Santa gear could be a pitch-perfect case of him getting the holiday completely wrong. Whether it’s a backstage segment or something that actually makes it to air is still unclear, but it’s definitely being talked about behind the scenes.

Fans know this is right in Truth’s wheelhouse. He’s made a career out of perfectly-timed, off-the-wall comedy. Showing up dressed for Christmas on Halloween? That’s just another day at the office for him.

Tonight’s show is already stacked with major matches and moments:

  • Ilja Dragunov defends the United States Championship in an open challenge
  • Carmelo Hayes faces Kit Wilson
  • Alexa Bliss goes one-on-one with Nia Jax
  • Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre have their final face-off before their Undisputed Title showdown
  • Jade Cargill addresses the WWE Universe after turning heel on Tiffany Stratton

SmackDown airs live at 8 PM ET on the USA Network, with international streaming available through Netflix. Full coverage, results, and updates will be posted throughout the night by Ringside News.

If R-Truth ends up dressed as Santa tonight, it could steal the segment—and deliver exactly the kind of holiday confusion only he can pull off.

Would you pop for a R-Truth Christmas skit on Halloween? Or should WWE keep the jokes in season? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
