There were plans for New Orleans to get WrestleMania in 2026, but that is now off the table. Since it was reported that the Big Easy will get the Money in the Bank event next year instead, there have been a lot of reports about the subject.
WWE could bring WrestleMania 42 overseas, but nothing is certain yet. We do know now that Orlando is out of the running.
Andrew Baydala reported that multiple WWE employees have confirmed WrestleMania is being moved from New Orleans. While Saudi Arabia is unlikely for WrestleMania 42, Baydala believes the country could host a future WrestleMania within the next 3–5 years. Orlando received an $18 million grant to bid on WWE events, but is currently focusing on securing a Royal Rumble first.
Several WWE employees have confirmed that WrestleMania is being relocated from New Orleans, so if you believe the news is false, that should clarify things.
While money wouldn’t be a concern, I don’t see #WrestleMania 42 taking place in Saudi Arabia. However, never say never, considering I do believe a Mania will take place in Saudi Arabia in the next 3-5 years. Many people have inquired about Orlando, which was awarded an $18 million grant to bid on WrestleMania and other events.
However, this is still years away, as Orlando focuses on bringing a Royal Rumble event there first. Locations to consider- Indianapolis, Atlanta, Texas, London, & Florida.
We will have to see what WWE does regarding a WrestleMania location next year. At this point, anything could be possible. That being said, it doesn’t look like Orlando is going to get the showcase of the immortals next year.
There are a lot of cities all over the globe that would love to host WrestleMania. A ton of money is also on the table. Keep checking back with Ringside News as we continue monitoring this ongoing situation.
