Will Ospreay might be off AEW TV, but don’t count him out. According to Alex Windsor, the former AEW International Champion is crushing rehab — and it’s only a matter of time before he’s back.

Speaking to Metro UK, Windsor opened up about Ospreay’s current status and gave fans a much-needed health update. She made it clear he is doing incredibly well in his rehab and she has no doubt he’ll be back in the ring better than ever.

“Of course, it has been a struggle for him, but he’s doing so well. It’s no surprise, you know, but he’s absolutely smashing it,” she said with a smile. I personally [think] he’ll be back better than ever. I have no doubt about it in my mind.”

Ospreay underwent surgery back in September 2025, a few weeks after stepping away from in-ring action following AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. At the time, he let fans know the surgery went well and promised a return worth waiting for.

“The road will be long, but it’ll be worth it to see you all again. Surgery was a success,” he wrote in an update after the procedure.

Since then, the British star has been laying low, focusing on his health and the long journey back. He’s already admitted he might need to pull back on the high-risk moves that made him famous — showing a potential change in his wrestling style going forward.

That evolution could mark a turning point in his career — but if Windsor’s words are anything to go by, fans are in for something special. As Ospreay continues to heal and rebuild, all signs point to a big-time return in the making.
