Dominik Mysterio might be off WWE’s live event cards for now, but there’s good news out of the Mysterio camp.
After being pulled from the December 26 WWE live event in Baltimore, speculation ran wild that Dom’s injury from AAA’s Guerra de Titanes could be worse than expected. But according to a report from BodySlam.net, sources close to the situation say Dominik is in “good spirits” following the injury scare and that WWE is simply being cautious in keeping him off events for now.
“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Dominik Mysterio is in ‘good spirits’ following the injury scare and the company is just being cautious with him.”
Mysterio was originally scheduled to team with Liv Morgan in a mixed tag match against Rey Mysterio and Rhea Ripley at the Baltimore show. Instead, Rey opened the event in a singles match against Grayson Waller—with Dominik pulled from the card completely. The switch added fuel to fan fears that the Judgment Day member’s injury could be more than a minor bump.
Those fears started after Dominik reportedly hurt his shoulder during the final moments of AAA’s Guerra de Titanes event on December 20. According to Bryan Alvarez, the injury happened after a DDT from Rey Mysterio, and Dominik left the match clutching his shoulder, barely able to move his arm.
“Based on how he landed, my presumption is it’s likely a shoulder separation… He could barely use the arm at all,” Alvarez noted at the time.
Though WWE hasn’t officially confirmed the severity of the injury, the new report suggests they’re monitoring the situation closely and prioritizing his recovery—without rushing him back into the ring too soon. For now, fans can breathe a little easier knowing Dom’s doing well behind the scenes.
