Piper Niven has broken her silence with a heartfelt update on her health—and the uncertainty surrounding her in-ring future.

The WWE star, who hasn’t wrestled since the August 22, 2025 edition of SmackDown, took to Twitter/X on February 2, 2026, to explain why she’s been quiet—and what she’s facing behind the scenes. Back in September, reports suggested Niven could be dealing with a “career-ending” injury, but fans hadn’t heard much directly from her—until now.

“I am in a good spot rn! ☺️ I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet with you guys,” she began. “I appreciate every single message and every tweet (x? Sk?) I get, even if I haven’t liked or responded.”

Niven then got candid about the reality of her situation, admitting she still doesn’t have clear answers:

“The truth is I’ve been so quiet as I know you have questions but the fact of the matter is, I don’t know yet,” she wrote. “It’s 5 months on and some days when it’s bad I can’t stand up for more than a few minutes if even a minute.”

Despite the physical setbacks, Niven expressed her love for wrestling hasn’t wavered.

“Do I want to come back? Of course I do. This is all I’ve done and all I’ve wanted to do since I was 16 years old and I can’t imagine doing anything else,” she shared. “I still love it as much as I did the first day I started. And I feel like I was really just starting to get confident again and open up and hit my groove 😆”

She closed the update with a note of hope:

“So all this to say, I hope so. Keep your fingers crossed for me 🤞🏻😘”

Niven’s message struck a chord with fans, who flooded her replies with support. Her vulnerability—and strength—highlight the emotional toll that long-term injuries can have on athletes, especially those still fighting to reclaim their momentum.
