The 2026 Royal Rumble is just around the corner—and now we’ve got a fresh look at the massive stadium WWE is building from scratch in Saudi Arabia.
On January 18, 2026, Twitter user Mohammed Mansour shared multiple photos of the in-progress stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District, where construction crews are racing to finish the venue in time for the January 31 premium live event. His update shows that things are moving fast—and WWE is going big.
“🚨 #RoyalRumble Arena Update: Lighting towers have been installed at the arena. Main gate will be from Al Ghadeer Walkway. Security presence has been increased.”
The images show major upgrades, including lighting towers and a large entrance area under development. From the looks of it, WWE is building a WrestleMania-level stage—a visual statement to match their first international Royal Rumble.
Back on January 10, reports confirmed that WWE was constructing an entirely new stadium for the Rumble, a first in the company’s history. The location didn’t even exist yet when tickets went on sale—but that didn’t stop fans. Presale demand for the event shattered records, making it the most in-demand wrestling event to date, according to internal WWE projections.
With just under two weeks to go, all eyes are now on the site to see if WWE can pull off the impossible—and officially kick off the Road to WrestleMania 42 in truly epic fashion.
