Penta has been making waves in WWE since his RAW on Netflix debut on January 13, 2025, but his solo run might not last much longer. A new report suggests that WWE is already planning to reunite The Lucha Bros once his brother, Rey Fenix, makes his way to the company.

On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC provided an update on Fenix, whose AEW contract situation had been dragging on due to reported backstage issues. According to JoeyVotes, Fenix is now officially done with AEW, and his WWE debut is only a matter of time.

“Rey Fenix’s WWE debut is impending, and if he hasn’t signed a contract already, the deal was likely in place and had been verbally agreed upon,” the report stated.

Penta has been carving out a solid singles run, currently feuding with Ludwig Kaiser, but WWE’s creative team—led by Triple H—still intends to bring back The Lucha Bros as a tag team once Fenix arrives. This means Penta’s time in the singles spotlight could be coming to an end sooner rather than later.

While some fans are excited to see the brothers reunited on a bigger stage, others were hoping Penta would get a sustained push as a solo act. Either way, WWE seems to have major plans in store for both men.

Do you think WWE should keep Penta as a singles star, or is The Lucha Bros reunion the right move? Let us know in the comments!
