Fans were rattled after Penta suffered a scary fall during the November 24th edition of WWE RAW. The match, part of the Last Time Is Now Tournament, was abruptly stopped after Penta took an awkward spill during a spot with Solo Sikoa. But now, an update has been revealed—and thankfully, it’s not as bad as many feared.
During the post-RAW show, Sean Ross Sapp provided the inside scoop on what went down behind the scenes. He made it clear that no one was to blame for the incident.
“Now, this one ain’t WWE’s fault, man. This one isn’t anybody’s fault. Things seemed okay with him as he went through the curtain based on people I talked to.”
According to Sapp, the decision to halt the match was a precautionary one. Penta had just hit a hurricanrana off the barricade but landed directly on his shoulder—a moment that triggered instant concern from ringside officials.
“The match had to be stopped. They went to a commercial and then had to stop the match because Penta took a spill. Didn’t look great, and wisely and fortunately it was called to a stop.”
Once the referee realized Penta’s fall looked bad, WWE quickly made the call to end the match for safety reasons—allowing Solo Sikoa to advance in the tournament. Penta was reportedly moving fine backstage, which is great news. But fans will need to wait for a full medical update before celebrating his return.
Was WWE right to stop the match? Do you think Penta should continue competing in the tournament once cleared? Sound off in the comments with your thoughts.
