Penta Blasts Dominik Mysterio as a ‘Fake Mexican’

Dominik Mysterio’s rough week in WWE just got even worse.

On the latest episode of Raw, Dominik lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Penta, ending a title reign that had been under pressure for months. The loss came after weeks of tension between the two, fueled largely by Penta’s anger over how Dominik has treated his father, Rey Mysterio.

Their rivalry dates back to Penta’s WWE debut in January 2025, when he immediately made it clear he had a problem with Dominik’s attitude toward the Mysterio legacy. Now that he’s captured the Intercontinental Championship, Penta isn’t holding back when it comes to talking about his opponent.

During a recent appearance on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Penta unloaded on Dominik and questioned everything about him.

“He’s a fake Mexican. He’s a fake son. He’s a fake husband. He’s a fake friend. He’s a fake wrestler…”

Penta then continued by challenging Dominik’s identity while comparing their backgrounds.

“Tell me something – where is Dom’s passport from?”

The new champion made it clear he believes the difference between them comes from where they come from and how they were raised.

“I am from Ecatepec – real hood Mexico, brother. This is the difference between him and I.”

The comments come just days after Dominik became the first WWE star to be cursed by Danhausen following his debut during the Elimination Chamber event. Soon after, Dominik’s Intercontinental Title reign came to an end when Penta finally defeated him on Raw. Whether the loss marks the end of their rivalry or just the beginning of a more intense feud remains to be seen, but Penta clearly isn’t finished taking shots at Dominik.
