Penta Becames New #1 Contender For IC Title During 2/16 WWE RAW

WWE has no offseason, and new challengers need to step up all the time. This week on RAW, we finally saw Dominik Mysterio get his next #1 contender for the IC Title.

The February 16 episode of WWE RAW rolled through the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee, and with Elimination Chamber right around the corner, the pressure is officially on.

Dominik Mysterio is the current IC Champion, but he hasn’t defended the title since he won it from John Cena at Survivor Series: WarGames. He is also the AAA Mega Champion. This week on RAW, they figured out who will face Daddy Dom next for his WWE championship.

El Grande Americano took on Penta in singles action this week to figure out who will take on Dominik Mysterio next. This match was just getting started as we went to a commercial break.

This match continued until El Grande Americano was about to get a steel plate from Bravo before the OG Americano dragged him under the ring. Then Chad Gable in a mask took out Rayo and Bravo with his signature suplexes. This gave Penta a chance to nail a springboard Mexican Destroyer to win the match.

We will have to see if Dominik Mysterio will keep his IC Title for much longer. With a new #1 contender in line, he will, at least have to defend it sooner than later.
