Rey Fenix is officially making his WWE debut—and it’s happening sooner than fans expected. After weeks of speculation and confirmation that he signed with the company, Fenix will step into a WWE ring for the first time on the April 4 episode of SmackDown.

While no opponent has been announced yet, the energy around Fenix’s arrival is real. And no one is more fired up than his own brother, Penta, who joined WWE earlier this year and now competes on Monday Night Raw.

Speaking to Sebastian Hackl of WWE Deutschland, Penta had nothing but praise: “Finally! The best wrestler in the world comes to the best company in the world.”

The Lucha Bros are officially back together under the WWE banner. Known for their high-flying, jaw-dropping offense in promotions like AEW, AAA, TNA/IMPACT, and ROH, the duo racked up tag team gold nearly everywhere they went. Now they’re taking on WWE in solo roles—at least for now.

Penta just took his first pinfall loss since signing with WWE, falling to Finn Balor in a tag match on Raw where he teamed with Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker. But the focus now shifts to Fenix, who’s arriving with momentum and plenty of mystery.

WWE has been working on creative pitches and merchandise behind the scenes for Fenix’s debut, signaling that they see major potential in the former AEW standout. Whether he kicks off in singles competition or is quickly reunited with his brother in tag action, Fenix is about to shake things up on the blue brand.
