Penta is holding out hope for a WWE reunion with his brother Rey Fenix—and he believes it’s going to shake the entire wrestling world.

Both members of the Lucha Brothers are currently under WWE contracts. Penta made his debut on the first-ever Raw on Netflix, while Rey Fenix followed suit with his own debut on the April 4 episode of SmackDown. Despite their legendary tag team history, they haven’t shared the ring together since AEW Rampage in July 2024.

During an appearance on Inside The Kliq, Penta addressed the elephant in the room: when will the Lucha Brothers finally reunite on WWE television?

“I know one day, when the Lucha Brothers return, the world will explode.”

“When? I don’t know. How? I don’t know, but I’m sure of it, I feel it in my heart.”

“Imagine this, the best tag-team in the universe returns in the best company in the universe.”

While fans have been patiently waiting, there have been small teases. Xavier Woods recently made headlines for saying he “hates” Penta—part of a growing tension that’s also roped in Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller, who each have their own issues with the masked star.

Rey Fenix, meanwhile, has been making noise on his own. He recently went toe-to-toe with WWE United States Champion Sami Zayn on the September 12 episode of SmackDown. Behind the scenes, there are rumblings that Fenix could be in line for a major singles push, with reports suggesting that a WWE higher-up is pushing for more spotlight on the high-flyer.

Whether or not WWE brings the brothers together in the near future remains to be seen, but the idea is clearly on Penta’s mind—and possibly in WWE’s plans.
