Paul Heyman didn’t point to Bron Breakker, Solo Sikoa, or any rising star when asked who WWE’s next big thing might be. Instead, he put the spotlight directly on himself—and delivered it with the kind of confidence only he can pull off.
During his appearance on First Take, Heyman was asked whether WWE had someone with the breakout potential of LSU quarterback Jaden Daniels. The setup seemed perfect to name a young, up-and-coming WWE talent. But Heyman being Heyman, he made it clear that the person fans should keep their eye on… is Paul Heyman.
After a slight smirk, Heyman looked straight into the camera and made it very clear that he’s just getting warmed up.
“I’m just getting started. I’m just figuring this stuff out. It took me this long to really… I mean, I kind of knew it. I was kind of faking it before I made it. Then I started to really get into it. I’m just really figuring this out now. I got another 40 years ahead of me. Wait till you see what I do next.”
It was classic Heyman—deflecting expectations while somehow owning the moment entirely. In a conversation filled with talk of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and WrestleMania, Heyman still found a way to remind fans that he’s still the smartest guy in the room.
At this point, it’s hard to bet against him. Whether he’s managing champions or verbally torching anyone who questions him, Heyman continues to prove why his presence is a cheat code for wrestling greatness.
Do you think Paul Heyman could reinvent himself again and continue dominating WWE for the next 40 years? Or should he start passing the torch? Drop your thoughts below and let us know what you think.
