Pat McAfee is raising the stakes after Randy Orton’s shocking SmackDown attack on Cody Rhodes — and now he’s putting his own future on the line.

During the April 3 episode of WWE SmackDown, where McAfee was revealed as Randy Orton’s mystery caller and helped him brutally attack Cody Rhodes, McAfee took to social media with a bold promise tied directly to WrestleMania 42.

McAfee made it clear that he’s fully backing Orton heading into his championship match, even going as far as putting his own presence in wrestling on the line.

“I will make a deal with the IWC now..If @RandyOrton doesn’t win at Mania.. I will NEVER be seen OR HEARD on wrestling television AGAIN,” McAfee wrote.

The statement comes after McAfee aligned himself with Orton during the opening segment of SmackDown, helping deliver a low blow to Rhodes before Orton attacked him with a steel chair. That moment officially revealed McAfee as the person who had been secretly encouraging Orton behind the scenes for weeks.

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes also responded on social media after the attack, apologizing to fans and stating that he intends to respond before SmackDown ends — suggesting the fallout from the attack may not be finished yet.

With McAfee now publicly tying his future in wrestling television to Orton’s success at WrestleMania 42, the rivalry between Orton and Rhodes just picked up even more personal stakes heading into their showdown.

Do you think Pat McAfee actually follows through on his promise if Randy Orton loses, or is this just another way to raise the stakes before WrestleMania? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments.
