Pat McAfee’s set to square off against GUNTHER at the Backlash Premium Live Event, and the odds are stacked against him. However, it appears McAfee has now received a very surprising offer for help.

Pat McAfee took to Twitter and uploaded a clip from his show, where he invited Scott Steiner to appear on his show and help him get ready for his match against GUNTHER at Backlash.

McAfee said Steiner was ready to show up if needed and that he’d be happy to have him on the show. McAfee joked that he probably couldn’t match Steiner’s muscles, but he would appreciate any advice or tips. He said it would be great to learn from someone with the experience and success of the Steiner family.

“Big Poppa Pump wants to come down. He said he’s on standby if we need an appearance on the ThunderDome. Big Poppa Pump, I’d like to extend a formal invitation for whatever you want to get over here. I don’t know if I can build any of the pump that you have. But if you wanna come here and give me some strategies, some tips and thoughts, tidbits—maybe work me through some things against GUNTHER. Cause obviously, I’ve seen what the Steiner family has produced.”

Scott Steiner definitely heard what Pat McAfee had to say, as he took to Twitter and made it clear he is open to helping out McAfee, stating that working together will spell disaster for the Ring General, saying, “The Genetic Freak + Pat = disaster for Gunther.”

While GUNTHER clearly doesn’t take Pat McAfee seriously as an opponent, McAfee is more than determined to prove to the world he isn’t afraid of the Ring General and will definitely take the fight to him.

With Backlash around the corner, Pat McAfee getting help from Scott Steiner could be the deciding factor on May 10th. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see how McAfee will fare against GUNTHER in the end.
