Otis began his athletic journey as a standout amateur wrestler, capturing a Minnesota state championship and earning a bronze medal at the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival. His success on the mat led him to pursue a career in professional wrestling, signing with WWE in 2015. He gained widespread recognition as part of Heavy Machinery, teaming with Tucker Knight, before becoming a key member of Alpha Academy alongside Chad Gable. Otis grew up in Superior, Wisconsin, with his Serbian-American family. From a young age, he faced challenges with dyslexia, which made school difficult and led to bullying.
