The Usos may be heading into a new rivalry on WWE Raw — but the storyline unfolding on television reportedly isn’t what WWE originally planned.

During the post–Elimination Chamber episode of Raw, Jimmy Uso faced Austin Theory in singles competition. The match didn’t last long before chaos broke out. Logan Paul interfered, triggering a disqualification and setting off a wild fight between The Usos and members of the Vision faction.

Jey Uso ran to the ring to help his brother, and the segment ended with The Usos planting Theory with the 1D as the two sides continued brawling. The moment made it clear WWE is building tension between the groups moving forward. Behind the scenes, however, the feud was reportedly supposed to look very different.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that WWE initially planned for The Usos to enter a major tag team title program with a different Vision lineup before injuries forced creative changes.

“So they're doing the tag team title feud. Yeah, with — they were — that was always, you know, before all these injuries happened — the Usos were going to do, you know, a big tag team title feud with a Vision tag team. You know, which at first was probably going to be Reed and Bron Breakker.”

According to Meltzer, WWE’s creative direction shifted once injuries began affecting key players tied to the storyline. Another injury reportedly forced WWE to pivot again, leaving the current pairing as the only realistic option.

“And then, you know, when Seth got hurt, it was probably going to end up being Reed and maybe Logan… or maybe even Theory, I don't know.”

“So now it's down to Theory and Logan, you know, because Reed got hurt.”

With Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker currently sidelined, Logan Paul and Austin Theory appear to be the only available Vision members positioned for a major program. That likely explains why Raw immediately pushed them into conflict with The Usos during Monday’s show.

The situation also ties back to last week’s episode of SmackDown, where The Usos were attacked and taken away in an ambulance storyline. That angle forced Jey Uso to withdraw from the Elimination Chamber match and allowed Logan Paul to take his spot. Now the fallout from that situation appears to be pushing WWE toward a new direction — one that could see The Usos square off with Logan Paul and Austin Theory in a featured tag team rivalry.

WWE is no stranger to adjusting plans when injuries disrupt the roster, and this situation appears to be another case of the company rewriting creative on the fly.

Do you think WWE should move forward with The Usos vs Logan Paul and Austin Theory, or would the original plan with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have been the stronger feud? Let us know what you think and drop your thoughts in the comments.
