Liv Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder injury on the June 16th edition of Monday Night Raw and it ended up changing a ton of plans. This included the fact that she was set to have a huge title match at Night of Champions.
According to Cory Hays of BodySlam.net, Liv Morgan was originally planned to face IYO SKY for the Women’s World Championship at the Night of Champions Premium Live Event on June 28th.
This would make sense considering the fact that Liv Morgan had been feuding with IYO SKY for quite a while before her injury. Even on the June 16th edition of Raw, Morgan had a confrontation with the Genius of the Sky.
This comes after we have previously reported that Morgan was at the center of multiple storylines heading into the summer, which are now being rewritten on the fly after her unfortunate injury.
While injuries are unfortunately part of the business, Liv Morgan’s absence has clearly left a gap in WWE’s current landscape. Considering the fact that she’s expected to be out of action for several months, we’ll have to see how things will change once she does return, as fans are still hoping she comes back sooner rather than later.
