WWE just made a last-minute change to NXT just hours before the show— and now we know exactly how the show is starting.

Before the March 24, 2026 episode of NXT, WWE took to Twitter to confirm which match will open the night — giving fans an early look at how the show will kick off. Instead of keeping things under wraps, WWE revealed that the women’s tag team match featuring Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair will start the show.

“@kendalgreywwe and Women's Speed Champion @WrenSinclairWWE take on Fatal Influence's @FallonHenleyWWE and @lainey_wwe in tag team action to KICK OFF #WWENXT tonight!”

That announcement puts immediate focus on the women’s division right out of the gate, with Grey and Sinclair stepping in against Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne’s Fatal Influence faction.

This match was already part of a stacked lineup that includes Ricky Saints vs. Tony D’Angelo, a #1 contender gauntlet match for the North American Championship, and multiple tournament bouts — but now it carries extra weight as the opening segment of the night.

The timing of the announcement also stands out, coming just hours before the show goes live from Houston, showing that WWE wanted to create more hype heading into the broadcast. Bottom line — WWE isn’t easing into NXT this week. They’re kicking things off with a tag team match that could set the tone for the entire night.
