Omos is no longer just a WWE attraction—he’s officially stepping into AAA territory.
After dominating the Copa Bardahl match at AAA TripleManía XXXIII on Saturday, the 7’3″ Nigerian Giant has been rebranded as an “AAA Superstar”—and WWE Shop is already cashing in. A new t-shirt featuring the AAA logo has gone live, marking Omos’ formal integration into the Mexican promotion under WWE’s expanding umbrella.
The merch description doesn’t hold back, hyping up Omos as a looming threat to lucha libre’s traditional stars:
“How will the proud luchadors of AAA Worldwide fare when the 7-foot-3 giant Omos comes to tower over the roster like a skyscraper? Show your appreciation for The Nigerian Giant in this new landscape by grabbing this Omos AAA Superstar T-Shirt.”
WWE’s acquisition of AAA was first announced at WrestleMania 41, with the deal expected to close by Q3 2025. Internal reports previously hinted that Omos would be sent to AAA to function as a “special attraction outside the WWE bubble,” similar to his earlier success in Pro Wrestling NOAH—something WWE now seems to be making official.
At TripleManía XXXIII, Omos entered the Copa Bardahl match at #13 and steamrolled through the competition, eliminating La Parka last to win the trophy in his AAA debut. The victory—and immediate merchandise push—makes it clear this isn’t a one-off.
WWE Shop has also expanded its AAA line with other TripleManía stars, signaling a full branding push that now includes Omos as a staple of both rosters.
Is this rebrand the right move for Omos—or is WWE trying too hard to force his presence in AAA? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know if The Nigerian Giant fits in the lucha world.
