ODB’s surprise appearance during TNA iMPACT last week didn’t just happen out of nowhere — the former Knockouts Champion says the whole thing started with a chance meeting outside an arena.
During a March 13, 2026 appearance on Gabby AF, ODB opened up about how her return to TNA Wrestling came together before the segment involving Mama June and The Elegance Brand. According to ODB, the opportunity began when TNA happened to be running a show near where she had her food truck parked. She explained that she and her husband were outside the venue in Minneapolis when she learned that Carlos Silva was arriving.
“Well, they reached out. They were here in Minneapolis back in September and we had the food truck parked right outside the arena.”
ODB said she had already been joking about wanting to bring the food truck straight into the arena, something she even mentioned to Tommy Dreamer at the time. But things changed once she spotted Silva arriving at the venue. ODB said she immediately jumped into action to introduce herself.
“My dream was to drive this thing right into the arena. I told Dreamer, ‘This is what I want to do.’ Of course, nothing happened then. But I finally met Carlos. I literally jumped out of the food truck because my husband, Big Al, was like, ‘Hey, Carlos is coming. Get out here.’”
ODB explained that she wasted no time pitching herself once she had the chance to speak with him. According to ODB, Silva seemed excited about the idea of bringing her back once he realized she was already there at the show.
“I literally jumped in front of him, introduced myself, and said, ‘Hey, I’m one of the original Knockouts, blah blah blah.’ He was looking at me like, ‘This is awesome.’ He asked, ‘Are you doing anything on the show?’ I said, ‘No.’ And he goes, ‘Well, Lisa, we’ve got to introduce you since you’re here.’ I was like, ‘That’d be great, man.’”
ODB said the conversation didn’t end there. The following day, Silva reportedly followed up with her directly about working together again. From there, things started moving quickly. ODB revealed that Tommy Dreamer eventually reached out and officially made the call for her return.
“He actually called me the day after and said, ‘Hey, it was nice meeting you and your husband. Hopefully we can do some more stuff together.’ So we were chitchatting, and then Dreamer made the call. I said, ‘Yes, I would love to come back and see what happens.’”
ODB added that she has been wrestling on independent shows again recently as she works her way back into ring shape. At the same time, she admitted that the physical side of wrestling feels very different now compared to earlier in her career.
“That’s why I’ve been doing the indies too. I’ve been kind of getting back into it. I still got it. Except the ‘bam’ hurts a little bit though. I don’t know why. Like 15 years ago I could take those bumps and be fine. Now I’m like, ‘Oh God, this hurts.’”
ODB’s return paid off during the March 5 episode of TNA iMPACT when she interrupted a heel promo from The Elegance Brand. The segment escalated quickly as ODB attacked the group and then handed Mama June and her family cups of gravy to dump all over the heels.
The chaotic moment instantly became one of the most talked-about segments from the show and marked ODB’s first major TNA appearance in a long time. With ODB now appearing back in the TNA mix — and already talking about working again — it may not be the last time fans see her stepping into the limelight.
