Oba Femi knows exactly where he stands—and he isn’t shy about it. The two-time NXT Champion is fully aware that his name is already being thrown into the conversation for a jump to WWE’s main roster, and during his interview on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, he made it clear that he’s not waiting for permission to start dreaming big.

While Rosenberg floated the idea of a showdown between Oba and Brock Lesnar as an obvious collision course, Oba leaned right in and revealed that he’s already visualized matches with several of WWE’s top stars. In fact, one of those fantasy bouts is now a reality. He calmly declared that he’s ready for the spotlight right now.

“Of course. Of course. Definitely. Especially when I believe in myself and I believe I’m good enough to be there. Like right now I’m good enough to be on the main roster, period. Like there’s no question about that.”

But Oba also made it clear that he’s not rushing the process. He’s keeping his focus on the work in front of him and letting his moment arrive organically, without forcing it. He warned about the danger of being too future-obsessed. Even while staying grounded, Oba admitted that his dream match list isn’t short.

“I’ve been patient. I’ve done what’s been put in front of me. Because sometimes when you think about what’s at the end of the tunnel, you somehow get lost in the sauce and you stop figuring out how to navigate your current situation. So I’ve tried my best to stay on course the best I can.”

“Yeah, I do think about those dream matches. I think about Femi versus Drew, Oba Femi versus Randy, Oba Femi versus Cena. I’ve thought about Oba Femi versus Cody Rhodes, which is actually happening now. But I’ve thought about these matches for a very long time. But I’ve also tried my best to stay on course.”

This isn’t your typical developmental talent trying to make a name—Oba Femi already sees himself as a player in the game. And with this mindset, the question might not be if he’ll dominate on Raw or SmackDown, but how soon it all starts.

Oba Femi might still be holding the NXT title, but his sights are set far beyond Florida. His confidence, discipline, and vision make it clear—he’s not waiting in line, he’s walking straight through the door.
