NXT talent Tyson Dupont is headed into surgery after dealing with hip pain for months, and he shared the update directly from a hospital bed.
Taking to X, Dupont posted a video revealing that he was preparing to undergo hip surgery. In the video, he explained that the injury has been bothering him since July 2025, but he continued pushing through the pain so he wouldn’t miss opportunities inside the ring. Dupont spoke openly about the situation and confirmed that the time had finally come to take care of the issue.
“What's up, it's your boy Rickson, AKA Jason Cletus, AKA WWE Superstar the Brick, Tyson Dupont. And today's the day, man. Finally getting hip surgery. I've been dealing with some pain in my head for a very long time, since about, like, July of last year.”
He also made it clear that he did everything he could to keep working despite the discomfort, determined not to lose momentum along the way.
“Pushed through to the best I could to make sure I didn't miss any opportunities, but, you know, God's timing. When it's time, it's time.”
Dupont remained positive about the surgery and focused on what comes next, calling the situation a temporary setback rather than something that will stop his progress.
“So today, we're taking care of that, you know, minor setback for a major comeback. The Brick will be back in no time, but until then, best believe the grind continues. We're still chasing greatness, because the best is always yet to come. Let's get it.”
Dupont last wrestled at an NXT live event in late February. He is currently part of the High Ryze faction alongside Tyriek Igwe, and his absence could temporarily impact the group while he focuses on recovery.
Do you think Tyson Dupont will come back stronger after this surgery, and how big of an impact do you think his absence will have on High Ryze in NXT? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
