DarkState isn’t happy about being left out of WWE 2K26 — and one member of the group is already speaking up as the game’s release date approaches.
With WWE 2K26 set to launch on March 13, fans have been combing through the massive roster list ahead of release. But some quickly noticed that DarkState — despite spending the past year on NXT and holding championships — isn’t included in the game. One fan took to Twitter on March 5, 2026 to question the omission, pointing out that several wrestlers with shorter WWE tenures still managed to make the roster.
“DarkState not being on #WWE2K26 is wild to me, especially since they’ve been in NXT for a year now and were champions for a good chunk of that time. People who literally haven’t been in WWE for that long made it. I don’t get it. I don’t know if there’s any hope that they get.”
The tweet eventually caught the attention of DarkState member Osiris Griffin — and he responded directly. Griffin first reacted with a shrug emoji, acknowledging the situation without offering much explanation. “🤷🏽♂️”
However, he followed that up with another tweet that made it clear the group isn’t thrilled about the snub. Griffin made it clear that DarkState might be heading straight to the developers to demand answers: “darkstate on the way to 2k office”
The timing of the reaction makes the situation stand out even more. With WWE 2K26 only days away from release, the roster is essentially locked in — meaning DarkState won’t be part of the base game despite their run on NXT.
The game is still being promoted as the largest roster in franchise history, featuring hundreds of playable characters including current WWE Superstars, legends, managers, announcers, referees, and alternate character models.
Still, the absence of DarkState has now become a talking point among fans — and based on Griffin’s reaction, the group clearly noticed. Now the big question is whether DarkState could be added later through downloadable content, or if they’ll have to wait until next year’s game to finally make the roster.
