NXT Stars Being Discussed For WWE Main Roster Call-Ups After WrestleMania

Several WWE NXT stars are reportedly being talked about for main roster call-ups after WrestleMania 42, and a few names are getting more attention than the rest.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, and Jacy Jayne are the names being heavily discussed for possible moves to WWE’s main roster.

Meltzer noted that recent title wins changed the situation for others who had previously been mentioned. Lola Vice and Tony D’Angelo winning the NXT Women’s Championship and NXT Championship at NXT Revenge reportedly took them out of the immediate call-up discussion.

“Much of the talk in NXT at this point regards call-ups expected after WrestleMania. Vice and D’Angelo winning seems to take their names out of the discussion. Page, Saints, Monroe and Jayne have all been heavily discussed and Sol Ruca made a very favorable impression on Saturday Night’s Main Event.”

Another name getting attention is Sol Ruca, who reportedly impressed decision-makers with her performance at Saturday Night’s Main Event. That performance appears to have raised her standing internally as WWE looks at possible roster changes. Meltzer also mentioned that Joe Hendry could be nearing the point where a call-up becomes necessary due to timing and momentum.

“Hendry is about due for such a call-up given the longer it doesn’t happen, the farther away you are from when his cult popularity peaked in 2024 and he’s 37 years old. If he’s not called up it would seem to mean they aren’t confident the act will at this point work on the big stage, although his act with the heavy entertainment and crowd participation is the type of something different that often works on the main roster as a non-main event gimmick personality.”

As of now, there’s no confirmed timeline for when these moves could happen. However, WWE has a history of introducing new main roster talent during the episodes of Raw and SmackDown that follow WrestleMania, making that window the most likely time for changes.

With several names now being talked about behind the scenes, the weeks after WrestleMania could bring major roster shakeups across WWE programming.
