With the year slowly drawing to a close, fans are expecting more main roster call-ups. In fact, it appears that a major NXT set is expected to make their debut on the main roster this year.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, Tony D’Angelo’s name has recently been brought up in WWE creative meetings, with some expecting him to move up to the main roster before the end of the year.

It was noted that his mobster-style character will stay the same, though it may be slightly updated before he debuts on RAW or SmackDown. People within the company have praised D’Angelo for his strong work ethic and standout personality.

“Sources indicate Tony D’Angelo’s name has been circulating within creative recently with some expecting him to debut on the main roster before years end. His mobster style gimmick is expected to remain at this time though it will likely be slightly refined before he hits RAW or SmackDown. D’Angelo is said to have a strong work ethic and standout personality traits that many within the company speak highly of.”

Tony D’Angelo was last seen on the July 29th edition of NXT, where Tony D’Angelo sitting alone at dinner. He told his server not to call him “The Don” anymore. As he was about to enjoy his meal, he turned his head and appeared startled by a shadow. Then, the show faded to black and it ended on a cliffhanger.

Tony D’Angelo’s one-of-a-kind character and natural charisma could make him stand out right away on the main roster. So, fans may soon see him bring his “family business” to Raw or SmackDown, making his call-up one of the most exciting moments to close out 2025. We’ll just have to wait and see when he’ll actually debut on the main roster this year.
