NXT Star Hints at Reviving Iconic Gimmick for September 16 Homecoming Show

The September 16 episode of WWE NXT will be the special Homecoming edition of the show at Full Sail University. Interestingly enough, an NXT star has hinted at bringing back his iconic gimmick for the show.

Shawn Spears took to Twitter and uploaded a GIF of himself during his time as Tye Dillinger in NXT, where he was known as the “Perfect 10.” Therefore, he hinted at bringing back his iconic character for NXT Homecoming.

Fans of the original black and gold NXT certainly remember just how over Tye Dillinger was on the show, since people simply couldn’t get enough of his character. Seeing Spears possibly bring back the character for one night would definitely make fans happy.

Shawn Spears will be in Tatum Paxley & Izzi Dame’s corner this week on NXT as they challenge Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Whether Tye Dillinger’s “Perfect 10” return is for one night or a bigger comeback, the hype around NXT Homecoming is growing fast. The special show is already shaping up to be a night full of nostalgia, surprises, and epic moments for fans and so we’ll have to see how the show will turn out in the end.
