No Direct Meeting with Alberto Del Rio for WWE Return

While former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio paid a visit to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT last week, there word now is that there was no direct meeting and he was only there to film material for the upcoming Rey Mysterio project.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported earlier this week that Del Rio met with Vince McMahon while he was at WWE Headquarters filming for the Rey project, however that doesn’t appear to be what really happened. According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an individual close to the situation denied reports of a direct meeting.

“Another person close to the situation told us that while Alberto does want to return to WWE, they denied there being a direct meeting.”

Alberto reportedly had a meeting with Impact Wrestling a few weeks back regarding his contract situation with the company and the belief coming out of that meeting is that he would be sticking around for a while.
