After weeks of speculation, Yuto-Ice has spoken — and the Knock Out Brothers aren’t going anywhere.
Following their match at NJPW’s New Year’s Dash event on January 5, 2026, Yuto-Ice grabbed the mic and delivered a passionate promo directly addressing recent reports linking him and tag partner Oskar to WWE. His message was clear: They’re staying with New Japan.
This comes after a December 2025 report from Self Made Pro claimed that WWE had made official contract offers to the reigning IWGP Tag Team Champions, with sources saying the company was aggressively targeting the Knock Out Brothers as part of its international recruitment push.
“A source close to the situation claims that WWE has offered a contract to both Yuto-Ice and OSKAR, NJPW’s current IWGP Tag Team Champions.”
The report noted that WWE scouts were “very impressed” with the team’s rise in 2025, particularly after their standout performances in the World Tag League and their title win over Taichi and Tomohiro Ishii at Destruction in Kobe.
But Yuto-Ice addressed it head-on at New Year’s Dash — making it very clear they’re committed to NJPW, no matter what the rumors say.
With that, the Knock Out Brothers have slammed the door shut on the speculation — at least for now — and fans can expect to see the IWGP Tag Team Champions continue their dominance in New Japan for the foreseeable future.
Do you think Yuto-Ice and Oskar made the right call by staying in NJPW? Or would WWE have been the better move? Let us know in the comments.
