Nixon Newell isn’t running from the drama—but she’s not exactly confronting it either.
Just shortly after publicly disputing reports that she walked out of AEW Collision due to time constraints, Newell gave fans a heads-up that she’ll be live on Twitch later tonight.
The former WWE Superstar posted a beachside photo of herself with her partner and wrote: “Let’s stream, shall we? 6pm CT/7pm EST.”
The update comes after a cryptic message on Instagram Stories and Twitter where she seemingly addressed the controversy swirling around her sudden AEW exit just before showtime. Reports claimed she and Miranda Alize left the venue after being told their scheduled match would only get three minutes. They reportedly asked for more time, were denied, and then left the building.
Earlier today, Newell pushed back on those reports with a blunt statement, “Not everything you read is true. Remember that.” AEW was forced to replace them with Hyan and Maya World, who were praised internally for stepping up on short notice.
While Miranda Alize has teased that she’s got “so much to say,” Newell’s decision to go live on Twitch may offer fans the chance to hear her side—if she chooses to share it. She’s known for casual game streams and fan interactions, so there’s no guarantee she’ll speak on the AEW situation. But given the timing, it’s hard not to speculate.
As of now, Newell remains unsigned with AEW, and the walkout hasn’t exactly helped her backstage reputation, according to sources. Whether she clears the air or keeps things low-key tonight, fans will be tuning in either way.
