Nikki Bella is back in WWE and already chasing gold, but one thing is still missing: her sister.
While Nikki returned at number 30 in the Women’s Royal Rumble and is now set to challenge Becky Lynch at WWE Clash in Paris for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Brie Bella has remained out of the picture — and Nikki isn’t happy about it.
In a new interview with Sports Illustrated’s Rick Ucchino, Nikki confirmed she’s been pushing behind the scenes for Brie to make her WWE comeback.
“I keep pushing it. All the women want her back and they keep asking me every week has that decision changed. I don’t think legacies should be determined on spouses, but I also understand business.”
Nikki’s comments seem to be a direct response to what Brie has hinted at before — that her husband Bryan Danielson’s role in AEW may have complicated things for her potential WWE return.
Nikki didn’t deny it, and acknowledged that negotiations are ongoing between the Bellas and WWE.
“I do think [WWE is] becoming more and more open to it. I understand it takes time and we just have to figure things out. There’s so much business to figure out, and Brie and I both completely understand that.”
Despite the complications, Nikki is back in full force, building steam toward her title match with Becky Lynch while keeping the door open for Brie to return alongside her.
With the Bella Twins’ legacy still strong and fans chanting for “Brie Mode,” all eyes are now on WWE and AEW’s off-screen business dynamics to see if family can find its way back into the squared circle.
