Nikki Bella wants to set the record straight after her recent praise of WWE’s women’s division was spun into something she says it was never meant to be.
The WWE Hall of Famer made waves during her February 4, 2026 appearance on Impaulsive with Logan Paul, where she praised the current state of the women’s division and said she felt it was “better than the men’s division overall.” But following backlash online, Nikki used the February 9 episode of The Nikki and Brie Show to respond—and made it clear she never claimed there were no stars in the men’s division.
“I don’t ever want… I hate when I see headlines when it was about no stars in the men’s. That’s not what I meant. We have incredible talent, men and women, and people that will eventually carry this place.”
Nikki made it clear that she wasn’t taking a shot at WWE’s male superstars—just giving props to the women for how far they’ve come. She said the real problem isn’t what she said—it’s how the media and social media users ran with it.
“I guess I have to get used to this new era of media and headlines and how people take things and interpret it, and people look more for the negative in people’s answers.”
Brie chimed in with her own take on why fans misunderstood: “Tons of people will watch a social clip and feel like they watched the whole interview.” Nikki agreed, calling out how conditioned people are to react to headlines rather than full context.
“A lot of people read the headline and not the article. It’s a very conditioned way people look at their facts and thoughts and all that and make an opinion, so it’s really bad.”
Still, Nikki didn’t walk back her core belief that the women are crushing it right now. And just to make sure there’s no confusion, she gave love to some of her favorite male performers in the company:
“Look, men and women… I mean, I’ll stand by that women are better than men right now. But there’s not even a competition! Our men are incredible in WWE, and we see it, and you hear the crowds with it. What’s been more fun than ever is to really see the lucha men in WWE. They are some of the favorite men that I love to watch.”
So while Nikki Bella isn’t backing down from her praise of the women’s division, she’s made it clear: she never said WWE’s men don’t have stars—they absolutely do.
