Nikki Bella is opening up in a way fans haven’t seen before — and this time, she’s not holding anything back about how deeply her marriage and divorce affected her.

While speaking on The Flying Felon on April 3, 2026, Nikki got brutally honest about her marriage with Artem Chigvintsev and eventual breakdown, revealing just how much of herself she lost before everything finally fell apart. Looking back on the marriage, Nikki admitted it wasn’t what people may have thought from the outside — and said she slowly began to lose her identity along the way.

“I had a really hard marriage… and I think sometimes we are in relationships and we love really hard… and then they can turn into not a great relationship… and I think we can lose ourselves in that—and I definitely lost myself in that relationship.”

She went even deeper, explaining that the emotional toll reached a point where she no longer recognized herself. That realization hit hard — and led to moments where she questioned everything about who she had become.

“There was so much of me that was missing where I would look in the mirror and I just didn’t really recognize myself anymore. I was like, where is she? Where’s the sparkle, the strength, the bravery, the fearlessness, the sexiness, the sassiness—like where is she? Divorce is just hard, especially when you have children.”

Nikki also revealed just how low things got during the divorce, describing a moment where she completely broke down. At that point, she said she felt completely lost and powerless — turning inward while trying to protect her family through the situation.

“I remember one night just falling to my knees… I just was so broken. I was like, ‘God, I feel so lost. I feel so weak. I feel so powerless… I’m just surrendering to you.’ I just felt like no one knew my truth… but I knew that silence was so powerful—and I had to do it to protect my son.”

She also touched on the public side of the divorce, including frustration over outside commentary and how things were handled legally — even admitting there were parts of the process she wasn’t happy with.

“When stuff has hit the fan in my life, and I've been close to rock bottom without doing that work, I had to take things on the chin. Yeah. And it wasn't great, and there were certain things that weren't great for me publicly. And I wanted to go fight it. I mean, there was a divorce attorney that was just online talking about my divorce… and he put over a lot of things that he did in it and then he said there were some things that went on and I agree there were some things that my divorce attorney didn't do that was great.”

This paints a much clearer picture of what Nikki Bella went through behind closed doors — far beyond the headlines and public statements. It wasn’t just a breakup. It was a process that pushed her to her lowest point before she started finding herself again.
