Nic Nemeth isn’t chasing a WWE comeback—but he’s not ruling it out either.
During a new Hollywood Heels interview on WhatCulture Wrestling, the former Dolph Ziggler was asked about the possibility of showing up in NXT, RAW, or SmackDown—especially given that the Hardy Boyz once defended TNA titles on WWE programming. Nemeth’s response made it clear that while he respects the idea, he’s focused on something much bigger with TNA right now. He opened with a laugh, but there was truth behind the sarcasm:
“Now, I’d have to clear this, of course, with agents, managers, and a trusted parish priest, you know. I’m not going to formally offer to fight in NXT on a podcast. Come on, there’s paperwork. There’s lawyers.”
But when it came time to give a real answer, Nic didn’t hold back:
“I don’t have anything that I need to accomplish in NXT, but my goals and TNA’s goals are very different goals. So if I am a team player with TNA and something special comes up to where we can go there and knock some heads around and let people know—that’s fine. But it would have to be something pretty special.”
Nemeth then made it clear that TNA is where his passion and priorities currently live:
“Right now, we—there is so much, as you even brought up—the talent here in TNA—that looking elsewhere is fun because everybody’s bouncing around at different shows and it’s fun to do a little fantasy booking and say, ‘Hey, maybe this match here and we’ll go to Mexico and do this one.’ We’ll see.”
What drives him isn’t nostalgia—it’s competition. He’s not just here to wear a title; he wants to earn it every night.
“When it comes down to it, we have a full roster of ass-kicking young up-and-comers that I just named, and I would love to be in the ring with every single one of them. Not because—I know that we’re going to win—we’re going to. But I love that level of competition. I’ve never been someone to sit back and go, ‘Alright, I’m the champ. I’ll just hang out and do interviews now.’ No. You have to prove your worth. If not, they’re going to step on you and take that title right from me. And they should.”
So while a WWE return isn’t out of the question, it’s clear Nic Nemeth isn’t looking backward—he’s focused on leading TNA forward.
