Nic Nemeth isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to his brief, brutal encounter with Goldberg at WWE SummerSlam 2019—and he’s not hiding how he really feels about it.
In a new round of social media posts, the former Dolph Ziggler threw shade directly at the WWE Hall of Famer, who famously squashed him with a series of spears at the premium live event. Goldberg recently shared a clip from the match on Twitter/X with the caption, “Be careful what you ask for.”
Nemeth wasn’t letting that slide. He quickly fired back, “Or even what no one but Goldberg asked for.”
That wasn’t all. When a fan chimed in, praising Nemeth’s ability to “get your ass kicked real well” and calling him “kinda lucky to have been in the ring with the guy at all,” Nemeth clapped back with a harsh dose of reality.
“You are free to believe anything you tell yourself, but that doesn’t make it accurate,” Nemeth replied. “‘Kinda lucky to have been in the ring with him’… and not end up in a hospital, is much more accurate tho. Thanks for following.”
Nemeth’s comments are drawing attention for how direct—and personal—they are. While he’s no stranger to selling like a pro in WWE, it’s clear he didn’t appreciate being used as Goldberg’s quick victory prop with zero buildup and maximum risk.
Whether this will lead to more barbs between the two remains to be seen, but Nemeth seems more than ready to speak his mind now that he’s out of WWE and doing his thing in TNA Wrestling.
