WWE’s 2026 Royal Rumble is already making history before a single entrant hits the ring — because the company is constructing an entirely new stadium just to host it.

That’s right. The first international Royal Rumble premium live event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on January 31… inside a venue that doesn’t technically exist yet.

The show is set for the King Abdullah Financial District, where a brand-new stadium is actively under construction specifically for the Rumble. However, the site is far from complete with only a few weeks left on the clock. But recent photos and videos reportedly show real progress, as WWE and its Saudi partners race toward the deadline.

Despite the pressure, WWE appears locked in. Ticket presale demand shattered expectations — generating the highest demand ever recorded for a professional wrestling event. With the full weight of WWE’s global machine behind it, the company is betting big that the venue will be ready just in time to kick off the Road to WrestleMania 42.

This year’s Rumble marks the first time WWE will host the event outside of the United States — a major milestone in their controversial partnership with Saudi Arabia. If construction is completed on schedule, it’ll be the most dramatic staging of a Rumble in company history.

All signs point to a stacked card. Names like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Brock Lesnar are expected to appear, and fans are already speculating about who might headline the main event in this one-of-a-kind setting.

If WWE pulls it off, the 2026 Royal Rumble will go down as a landmark moment. If not, it could be one of the biggest logistical disasters the company has ever faced. Either way, all eyes are on Riyadh.

What do you think — will the stadium be ready in time? And who should win the Royal Rumble in this historic international setting? Drop your predictions in the comments.
