A big match is now locked in for AEW Dynasty, and Darby Allin just got one step closer to his goal of becoming world champion.

During the April 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin came out to address the crowd and once again talked about his goal of winning the AEW World Championship. The moment didn’t last long before things took a turn.

Allin was interrupted by members of the Don Callis Family, including Andrade El Idolo, Lance Archer, El Clon, and Hechicero. Don Callis stepped in and quickly made things official, announcing that Darby Allin will face Andrade El Idolo in a singles match at AEW Dynasty. If Darby Allin defeats Andrade El Idolo, he will earn a future shot at the AEW World Championship, currently held by MJF. That adds even more pressure to the match, especially with Allin making it clear that winning the world title remains his top goal.

AEW Dynasty is scheduled for April 12, 2026, at 7:00 pm, and the card continues to grow with several major matches now confirmed.

AEW Dynasty Matches Confirmed So Far:

  • AEW World Championship
    MJF (c) vs Kenny Omega
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship
FTR (w/ Stokely Hathaway) (c) vs Cage & Cope
  • Will Ospreay vs Jon Moxley
  • Andrade El Idolo vs Darby Allin

With a title shot now hanging in the balance, Darby Allin vs Andrade El Idolo could end up being one of the most important matches on the show.
