WWE Monday Night RAW took place on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The show served as the go-home RAW ahead of the Royal Rumble, which was set for August 31 in Saudi Arabia.

A top match on the card was a No. 1 contenders bout for the WWE Tag Team Titles, with four teams fighting for the next title shot. The New Day, Alpha Academy, Los Americanos, and American Made all had a chance to earn the opportunity, which made the stakes clear from the opening bell.

The Usos need new #1 contenders, even though they may be focused on winning the Royal Rumble match right now. That being said, this resulted in a good match during the go-home show before the big show in Saudi Arabia.

This match took over in the middle of the show’s second hour this week. Jey Uso was on hand to watch the match, but Jimmy Uso was nowhere to be seen. Jimmy’s absence was later blamed on “personal issues.”

This match had a lot of high spots and near falls. In the end, Akira Tozawa was able to nail a senton off the top rope and get a clean win. Now, Tozawa and Otis are the new #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

We will have to see if the Usos drop the titles to the Alpha Academy, but this is certainly going to be an interesting match. Only time will tell when this match goes down, but the Usos will have to be ready.

What’s your take on on the new #1 contenders in WWE? Do you think they will beat the Usos for their titles? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
